Abstract: In order to promote implementation of rural revitalization strategy and further sericulture industry in Shandong Province, and based on actual situation of sericulture industry development in Shandong Province, SWOT analysis method was used to conduct a detailed analysis of development of sericulture industry．Strengths（S）, weaknesses（W）, opportunities（O）and threats（T）of sericulture industry in Shandong Province was summarized, and cross analysis of four elements was conducted to obtain SO, WO, ST, and WT strategies．Analysis showed that SO strategy was strategic focus of development of sericulture industry in Shandong Province．It was recommended to fully utilize advantages of natural conditions, resources, and technology, as well as advantages of large-scale production advantage areas．At the same time, attention should be paid to long-term development, overcoming disadvantages, improving comprehensive resource development capabilities, increasing research and development funding, strengthening construction of advantageous regions, enhancing driving capabilities, promoting sericulture culture, and increasing market awareness．
