Abstract: To investigate effects of different fertilization combinations on rice yield and paddy field soil quality, and to further improve rice yield and quality, four fertilization combination treatments were set up in paddy field, each with 3 replicates．T₁ treatment: organic fertilizer +compound fertilizer+urea; T₂ treatment: microelement fertilizer+organic fertilizer+compound fertilizer+urea; T₃ treatment: microelement fertilizer+organic fertilizer+compound fertilizer; CK treatment: farmers' conventional application of compound fertilizer + urea．Experimental results have shown that different fertilization combinations had different effects on paddy field soil quality, soil nutrients, and rice yield．They have demonstrated significant effects in improving soil physicochemical properties, increasing soil biological activity, enhancing soil basic fertility, and improving fertilizer utilization efficiency, which could be promoted for widespread adoption in Yongshan County of Yunnan Province．
