Abstract: On the basis of a period of planning and engineering design program of Baodi new factory for Tianjin Tractor Co.Ltd.designed by the fifth Design Institute of Tianjin，engineering ability of workshops such as machining workshop，harvester assembly workshop，stamping，welding and painting joint workshop，cab workshop and tractor assembly workshop were designed and demonstrated.Results showed that the engineering ability of workshops fit the first phase of project design program requirements.
