Abstract: Increasing R&D investment of agricultural machinery enterprises is basis of improving competitiveness of agricultural machinery products and seizing up-markets at home and abroad.Current situation of R&D investment of agricultural machinery enterprises at home and abroad were compared，reasons for insufficient R&D investment of agricultural machinery enterprises in China were analyzed，policies and measures to fundamentally enhance competitiveness of agricultural machinery enterprises and increase R&D investment were put forward.
