Abstract: Under background of Rural Revitalization Strategy，Shaanxi promotes construction and development of characteristic towns，which can not only promote optimization of rural industrial structure，but also fully tap natural and cultural historical resources of small towns，so as to realize characteristic development and sustainable development of small towns.Shaanxi should adjust measures to local conditions，combine with rural agricultural resources，improve innovation of development of characteristic towns，pay attention to industrial design of characteristic towns，and develop a variety of development modes of characteristic towns.Development status of Shaanxi characteristic towns was mainly introduced，problems existing in development were pointed out，and corresponding countermeasures and suggestions were put forward，in order to promote further healthy development of Shaanxi characteristic towns.
