Abstract: With announcements of a series of policies about the third-party assessment（Abbreviation：TPA），the third-party evaluation has been extended all over the society.It is promoted systematically from single task to whole society.The paper attempts to analyze importance of the TPA in technology management and government supervision under reform improvement of administrative system in many fields in China，analyze development situation of TPA in deferent fields，and analyze characteristics and market situation of agricultural engineering projects.Research showed that environmental condition of TPA was formed already.TPA was demanded by both agricultural engineering consultation industry and its market supervision by government.The third-party assessment was inevitability and the trend in agricultural engineering consultation market.Study result could lead the third-party assessment development，be accepted and be responded positively by organization in agricultural engineering consulting field.
