Exploration and Practice of Cultivating High-quality Talents for Agricultural Engineering Specialty under New Development Stage

Grasping connotation of agricultural engineering in new development stage of modern agricultural transformation and upgrading，and cultivating compound and innovative high-quality talents of agricultural engineering specialty are important measures for agricultural colleges and universities to serve national strategy，meet needs of agricultural industry and deepen reform of engineering education.The interdisciplinary and industry-agriculture integration connotation of agricultural engineering for agricultural colleges and universities under the new era were expounded.To meet needs of agricultural information technology application for high-quality talents with solid theoretical foundation，strong practical ability and international vision，combined with school-based characteristics of integration of industry and agriculture of Huazhong Agricultural University and background of construction of new engineering majors，exploration and practice of teaching scale and quality balance approach，coexistence of virtual and real education conditions，practice platform of industry university research integration，cultivation mechanism of specialized industry cooperation，cross coupling training paradigm，and innovative culture of whole person education，were carried out.Results of high-quality personnel training mode to deepen education reform of agricultural engineering were summarized and analyzed.Cultivation paths of high-quality talents in agricultural engineering，such as innovating concept of quality education，innovating multi-dimensional model of education，and improving science education system，were put forward to provide first-class talent support for rural revitalization strategy，agriculture and economic and social development in the future.
