Research Advances on Integration of Water and Fertilizer under Mulched Drip Irrigation

  • Water shortage and low fertilizer utilization efficiency are important factors limiting sustainable development of agriculture in China.Integration of water and fertilizer under mulched drip irrigation is efficient irrigation and fertilizer application technology integrating water-saving irrigation, demand-based fertilizer application and film agronomic measures, which has advantages of water and fertilizer saving, steam and salt reduction, quality and efficiency improvement and chemical fertilizer input reduction.Effects of water and fertilizer utilization efficiency, soil water and salt distribution and transport, absorption, transformation and migration of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium nutrients in soil-crop system and soil physicochemical properties were reviewed, as well as research of water and fertilizer coupling model and development history of water and fertilizer integration of drip irrigation.Current problems of drip irrigation technology under the film were also analyzed and countermeasures were proposed.
