Research Progress of Castor Bean Breeding and Related Genetic Engineering

Castor is an oil crop known as "green oil resource", which can solve shortage of oil and has important economic value．Increasing yield of castor is a hot topic in field of castor breeding research．In recent years, more and more studies have been conducted on castor, aiming at increasing yield of castor and researching new varieties of castor．Related researches on breeding and genetic engineering of castor were summarized, and a theoretical foundation for further in-depth study of new varieties of castor and improving yield of castor was laied．
