Application Status and Development Prospect of Micro-hydropower in Tibet Autonomous Region

Development of micro-hydropower in China was introduced from definition and system composition of micro-hydropower, and existing implementation scheme of micro-hydropower plants was clarified．Combined with distribution characteristics and development potential of Tibetan hydropower resources, necessity, feasibility and significance of developing micro-hydropower in southeast Tibet were clarified．Compared with traditional power plants, micro-hydropower can make reasonable use of abundant local micro-water resources, which has a positive effect on improving quality of life of local farmers and herdsmen, improving living environment and developing local economy．
