Characteristics and Applications of Common Carbon Dioxide Removal Technologies

  • Climate change caused by greenhouse effect is threatening human beings.Reducing carbon emission has become a hot research topic.Based on domestic and foreign carbon emission status and carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, importance of developing carbon dioxide removal technology was introduced.Through a brief introduction of current common carbon capture technologies cryogenic method, absorption method, adsorption method and membrane capture method, application conditions, advantages and disadvantages of various technical methods were analyzed.In the future, expanding application field of carbon capture by integrating multiple technologies was an effective way to improve economy of carbon capture technology and achieve goal of dual carbon.Some suggestions on design of carbon capture process and selection of capture method were also put forward.
