Abstract
Combustion science is an important compulsory course for energy and power engineering majors under background of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.In view of current teaching and scientific research status of engineering majors in agricultural universities, combined with characteristics of complexity, interdisciplinary, and rapid technology update of this course, teaching content and teaching design to meet demand of talents under background of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality were discussed, and more applicable teaching methods and practical means were proposed to broaden students' horizons, stimulate their autonomous learning initiative, mastertheir knowledge application ability, and cultivate innovative and competitive engineering professionals to adapt to new energy strategy.
