Application of Different Water Temperature Regulation System in Recirculating Aquaculture in Chongqing City

  • Maintaining constant water temperature in process of recirculating aquaculture system is an important guarantee of aquaculture production efficiency.In order to solve problems of high energy consumption and high impact on breeding environment in recirculating aquaculture system, a 512 m3 farm in Chongqing City was used as an example.Applicability of initial investment and long-term operation of equipment for four types of water temperature regulation methods, including water source heat pump, air source heat pump, screw unit + boiler, and air source heat pump + boiler, were analyzed.Results showed that initial investment of air source heat pump was 507600 yuan, operating cost was 258200 yuan, water source heat pump was 482100 yuan and 168700 yuan respectively, both of which had good long-term use value.However, since water source heat pumps were more expensive to operate and more difficult to maintain in areas where cheap water resources were difficult to obtain.Therefore, air source heat pumps had lower investment, operating costs, and better overall adaptability.
