Investigation on Application of Solar Greenhouses in Beijing City

In order to have a comprehensive understanding of types and applications of solar greenhouses in Beijing City, vegetable parks, large growers, scientific research institutes, and production enterprises in seven districts such as Fangshan District, Daxing District and Tongzhou District, were investigated and visited by means of literature review, field visits, and expert consultation．Based on area and distribution, vegetables planting types, characteristics and structural types of solar greenhouses in Beijing City, and according to seven aspects of typical solar greenhouses, including building materials, building structure, overall dimensions and costs, problems in three aspects were summarized and analyzed, proposing countermeasures and suggestions to comprehensively improve solar greenhouse performance, calculating capital investment of different transformation methods of solar greenhouse, and providing reference and technical support for constructing and developing solar greenhouse in Beijing．
