Preparation and Application Status of Corn Straw Carbon Based Fertilizer

China has a large area of corn cultivation, and corn straw, as a raw material for preparing biomass charcoal, has a very rich reserve．Preparation technology of biochar based fertilizer is one of utilization technologies of corn straw, which has great application potential in development of green agriculture．Research background of biochar based fertilizer was clarified．Current research status of production and preparation process of corn straw carbon based fertilizer was elaborated．Benefits of biochar based fertilizers on soil improvement, heavy metal pollution control, crop yield and quality improvement, farmer income increase, and fertilizer utilization efficiency for crops and land were discussed．Application prospects of carbon based fertilizers were discussed．
