Prevention and Control Measures and Suggestions for Cadmium Pollution in Soil of Changdu City

Pollution hazard of heavy metal cadmium on soil has long existed in some regions of China．With long-term application of cadmium containing pesticides and fertilizers, Changdu City of Xizang Autonomous Region, which has a good ecological environment, has also begun to suffer from soil cadmium pollution．Based on actual development of agriculture in plateau areas, taking treatment of heavy metal cadmium pollution in development of agriculture in Changdu City as an example, main measures for prevention and control of cadmium pollution in farmland in Changdu City were explored, such as optimizing and adjusting planting structure and cultivation methods, adjusting soil pH, scientific fertilization, and controlling pollutant sources, to fully utilizing limited arable land resources, ensuring food security and health of farmers and herdsmen, and improve agricultural ecological environment in Changcheng City．
