Peanut planting status in Shandong Province and application of key mechanized technology and equipment

As an important base for peanut production in China, level of peanut production mechanization in Shandong Province remains insufficient．In 2022, peanut planting area reached 0.6098 million hectares, with a total yield of 2.7010 million tons, but mechanical harvesting rate was only 55%．Based on introduction of peanut planting scale, mode, and main cultivation varieties in Shandong Province, mechanization technology of peanut production was analyzed in detail, including mechanization current status and existing problems of land preparation, seed preparation, sowing, field management, and harvesting, to further enhance production efficiency and competitiveness of peanut industry in Shandong Province．
