Visualization analysis of green manure research progress based on CiteSpace bibliometrics

  • CiteSpace bibliometric tools were employed with CNKI database as retrieval platform to draw a scientific knowledge map of authors, number of publications, institutions, journals, keywords and research hotspots in core journals covering green manure research from 2015 to 2024.Visual analysis was conducted to systematically expounded research status and development trend in this field.Results showed that 847 papers were published in core journals within green manure research field from 2015 to 2024.Among authors, CAO Weidong ranked first with 94 papers, accounting for 11.10% of total papers, followed by HU Falong and CHAI Qiang, accounting for 3.19% and 3.07% respectively.This indicated author group was relatively concentrated, and cooperative relationship was very close.Among author affiliations, Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences published the highest number of papers, with 125 papers accounting for 14.76% of total papers.Regarding journals, Soil and Fertilizer Sciences in China published the most articles, with 66 articles.Keyword cluster analysis showed that the most frequently occurring keywords included green manure, yield, Chinese milk vetch, soil fertility.Recent research hotspots have mainly focused on green manure's biomass and functional genes.Current research in green manure field is mainly focused on soil improvement.However, it is also gradually playing a more important role in crop diseases' prevention and control, demonstrating considerable development potential and broad application prospects.
