Development status and suggestions for saline-alkali land watermelon industry in Binzhou City

Located in hinterland of Yellow River Delta, Binzhou City is an important saline-alkali land watermelon production area in Shandong Province．Current development status of Binzhou's watermelon industry was introduced from aspects such as change trends, planting history, and seedling cultivation industry．An overview of local watermelon planting pattern was provided．Finally, suggestions to promote watermelon industry development were put forward, focusing on improving circulation system, extending market listing time, creating brand characteristics, strengthening technology promotion．These suggestions could provide a reference for sustainable development of local saline-alkali land watermelon industry in Binzhou City．
