Analysis of cotton seed motion state during carrying process by seeding apparatus based on high-speed camera system

  • To address issues such as miss-seeding that frequently occur in seeding apparatus during high-speed operation, air-suction seeding apparatus and cotton seeds were selected as research subjects.High-speed camera captured seeding apparatus' working process, with recorded videos analyzed and processed using TEMA software.Analysis results indicated that cotton seeds exhibited three adsorption postures within seed-carrying arc segment of seeding apparatus: posture A, where large end of seed was adsorbed; posture B, where small end of seed was adsorbed; and posture C, where elliptical surface was adsorbed.Theoretical calculations revealed that posture B required the smallest suction force to maintain.Under identical vacuum pressure conditions, cotton seeds adsorbed in posture B exhibited the highest stability.Cotton seed velocity and acceleration analysis showed unstable velocities when adsorbed in posture A and posture C exhibit, while more stable velocities were adsorbed in posture B.Additionally, a transformation from posture A and posture C to posture B was observed.Research found that posture B is optimal seed-filling posture.
