Research and Extension of Ebb-and-flow Irrigation System

Based on the background of serious waste problems of irrigation and fertilization in facility agriculture, and under-developed techniques and equipments, the Ebb-and-flow Irrigation System is developed. By using fluctuation difference theory of liquid surface, through computer control system，to realize precise management and control of water and fertilizer,the system suits to industrialized production of pot plant in hydroponically-grown and container seedlings， and has the characteristic of water saving, fertilization saving, high production efficiency, good crop progress. This method can decrease water quantity 33%, promote water using efficiency 40% compared with pouring irrigation，can also decrease nitrogen fertilizer quantity as well. The system can increase yield and income of farmers in facility agriculture, improve the qualities of flower and seedling, and have prosperous application prospect in China.
