Reaction Kinetics of Methyl Esterification for Biodiesel from Tea Seed Oil

  • At 60℃ and 70℃,the reaction kinetics of methyl esterification preparation of biodiesel from tea seed oil was studied with mole ratio of methanol to oil 9∶1 and KOH catalyst dosage(mass percent of oil)1.0%.A macro-kinetic equation for the methyl esterification of tea seed oil was established based on the equation of curve fitted by Origin software.The experimental results show that the reaction order of methyl esterification of tea seed oil is 1.3,the reaction activation energy is 29.22 kJmol and frequency factor is 2.5×104 mol·L-1·min-1.
