Empirical Study on Relationship between Spatial Differentiation ofLand Use and Regional Development

The purpose of this paper is to verify the relationship between regional development and spatial differentiation of land use，by analyzing unbalanced development area.Weifang city was taken as a study area in the project，this paper constructed an evaluating model by principle components analysis and cluster analysis methods，summarize rules of spatial differentiation of land use by applying landscape patterns analysis method，studied that relationship by adopting correlation analysis method finally.The results explained that patch density（PD）and landscape fractal dimension（PAFRAC）had a strong correlation with regional development.It was concluded that regional development was closely linked with spatial pattern changes of land use，which could be reflected by PD and PAFRAC well.
