Breeding Report of a New Waxy Corn Variety PN07-7

PN07-7 was a new Waxy Corn Variety bred by crossing with the parental combined corn inbred line PN31 as female parent with inbred line PN29 as male parent by Pingliang Institute of Agricultural Science.In 2008—2011，the average yield of fresh ears of Waxy Corn Variety PN07-7 was 20 361 kg/hm2 and 10 percent higher than the check Zhongnuo 1 in the corn variety comparative test.The results indicationed that the seed grain content moisture，crude starch，crude protein，crude fat and lysine were 70%，833.1 g/kg，85.3 g/kg，43.5 g/kg，3.56 g/kg，respectively.It is suitable to plant in the region river water and fertilizer-rich dryland at an altitude of 1 500 meters below.
