Comparison of Growth and Development,Yield and Quality of Different Silage Maize Types

  • For finding differences of growth and development,yield and quality on different forage maize types,taking Jisi8,Jingang12,Jisi9 and Jingang50 as objects,leaf area,dry matter accumulation and quality of maize were analyzed under four planting density conditions,like 50 000,60 000,70 000 and 80 000 plants/hm2.Results showed that growth and development features had difference among different species with different densities.Features of growth development of Jisi9 appeared to be uniform on each stage.Yield and quality features were difference among different varieties.Yield and quality of same species had also differences under different density conditions.Quality and yield of Jisi9 performed best under 80 000 plants/hm2 condition,and Jisi9 had high-density-tolerance and high yield features.
