Design of Seeding Performance Detection System for Precision Seeder

Abstract
For improving sowing quality of precision seeding and avoiding multiple, missing, and blocking at work, seeding performance detection system with AVR MCU as core was designed. This system realized no blind spots monitoring for precision seeding overall process by used three pairs of parallel infrared light-emitting diodes and infrared photosensitive triodes as emitter and receiver. Fall condition of seeds in sowing pipe and seeding parameters were monitored in real time. False warnings were reported when seeds fall was abnormal. False locations and states were showed by state monitoring device through RS-485 in timely. So missing and false alarm could be minimized, and accuracy of detection system was improving. Work efficiency and seeding quality were improving. Field experiments showed that that system performance was stable and reliable, and could bring great benefits of agricultural production and economic.
