  • Modified atmosphere packaging technology can effectively prolong the shelf life of food.Mechanism of modified atmosphere packaging technology and main protective gas(carbon dioxide,oxygen and nitrogen)were introduced.On the basis of that,application of modified atmosphere packaging in food preservation,such as livestock and fresh meat,fresh fruit and vegetable,fresh fish and prawn,baking and cooked food,were summarized.
