Interception Effect on Engineering Measures for N and P of Small Watershed of Three Gorges Area

  • For the study of comprehensive control of engineering measures to the agricultural non-point source pollution of small watershed,engineering measures in the small watershed of Three Gorges area were carried out to study the interception effect for nitrogen and phosphorus.The results showed that engineering measures could intercept loss of nitrogen and phosphorus.Engineering measures on the closing stock of nitrogen run off intensity was 3.43 kghm2,the closing stock of phosphorus run off intensity was 0.098 kghm2,and engineering measures on the closing stock of nitrogen sediment intensity was 6.73 ghm2,the closing stock of phosphorus sediment intensity was 1.24 ghm2,which was better on the role of nitrogen sequestration than phosphorus.The results provided theoretical basis for management of agricultural non-point source pollution form engineering measures in Three Gorges area.
