Application of Terahertz Wave Spectral Imaging Technique in Meat Detection

  • China is a big country of agricultural products,but due to goods postpartum processing level is not high,export ratio is low.Fast,accurate,on-line,non-destructive testing of fresh meat plays an important role in food security analysis and testing of agricultural products.Terahertz wave as a new,rapid development of technology in many areas is widespread concern.When food security detection technology facing tremendous opportunities and challenges,terahertz wave spectral imaging technology with high signal-to-noise ratio,wide dynamic range and many other features,is possible to get the meat in THz band time-domain frequency domain information,and will not only be able to identify morphology of object,but also be able to identify internal part.It has unique advantages in the field of food safety testing.Concept and characteristics of terahertz wave and comparison with other detection methods were introduced.Research prospects and limited factors in the detection of meat were discussed.
