Review on Lignin Degradation Enzyme

Lignin is biological polymer which is second only to cellulose content.It is present in the cell walls of higher plants.It is about 25% of woody plants，and play role of plant tissue reinforcement.In plant，tissue，lignin，cellulose and hemicellulose are in the form of a covalent bond joint，cellulose molecules is embedded in it to form a strong natural barrier.General microbes are difficult to enter the decomposition of cellulose.Therefore，degradation of lignin is one of the key point of effective utilization of cellulose.In the nature of carbon cycle，degradation of lignin and the use are the most critical link of speed limit.Progress on lignin degradation enzyme was reviewed，trying to provide some references for the biodegradation of lignin.
