Optimum Planting Scale of Corn and Its Benefit in Different Production Region

Planting scale，yield and benefit of 114 corn growers and cooperatives from 27 provinces（autonomous region，Municipalities）were investigated and analyzed. Results showed that corn planting scale of the highest benefit for growers and cooperatives was 6.67～33.3 hectares and 1 000 hectares or more in northwest region，13.3～33.3 hectares in northeast and Huang-Huai-Hai region，6.67～33.3 hectares in southwest region. The highest core planting benefit appeared in northeast and northwest region，followed by Huang-Huai-Hai region due to lower yield，and the lowest benefit appeared in southwest due to low yield and high cost.
