Low-temperature Drying Methods and Their Application in Agricultural Engineering

In the agricultural engineering，low-temperature drying has characteristics of retaining material quality and saving energy.High-temperature drying has advantages of fast drying speed and short processing cycle.Some low-temperature drying methods commonly used in agricultural engineering have been discussed，such as low-temperature vacuum drying，low-temperature heat pump drying，low-temperature dehumidification drying，microwave low-temperature vacuum dehydration and so on.Their basic work principle was introduced.Application of low-temperature drying in agricultural engineering was summarized，like application in food，fruits，vegetables，wood，Chinese herbal medicine，cereals，etc.Development trend and prospect of low-temperature drying have also been discussed.
