Characteristics and Development Countermeasures of Ponds in Hilly Area

Ponds play vital role in hilly area with fragmented fields.Although ponds in hilly region are numerous，they are scattered with a lot of damage and in urgent need of reconstruction.Based on characteristics of types and fuctions for ponds，use situation and operating obstructions were discussed，and developing countermeasures of ponds were put forward.It provided reference for construction of small irrigation and water conservancy projects.
