Design and Simulation of a Sand Barrier Insertion Test Device

  • In order to achieve research of sand barrier laying equipment,a sand barrier insertion test device was designed.This device could be used to mensurate resistance under various conditions of different sand barrier materials(rice straw,wheat straw and other straw),different insertion depth(150~250 mm)and different laying speed(0~1 m/s).Resistance of sand barrier insertion test device was calculated theoretically.Key components including cutter,sand tank device,lifting and declining device,sliding device,driving device and resistance measuring device were designed.At last,3D modeling and simulation were carried out.Results showed that strength of sand barrier insertion test device met requirements of design.Its maximum carrying capacity was 1 500 N and it could meet corresponding testing requirements.
