Effect Comparison of UASB and UBF on Landfill Leachate Treatment under High Organic Loading

Abstract
Under the condition of(38±2)℃,landfill leachate was treated by UASB and UBF anaerobic technology under high organic loading rate.Results showed that in the anaerobic process,the organic loading rate increased to 15 kg COD(m3·d)and HRT was 5 d.In UASB anaerobic reactor,raw material gas production rate was 25.4~29.6 m3t,the removal rate of COD could be more than 94%,volumetric biogas production rate was 5.77~6.02 m3m3,content of CH4 was more than 70%,and pH was 7.21~8.25.In UBF anaerobic reactor,raw material gas production rate was 22.7~25.4 m3t,removal rate of COD could be more than 90%,volumetric biogas production rate was 4.99~5.60 m3m3,content of CH4 was about 66%,and pH was 7.29~8.01.UASB anaerobic technology was better than UBF anaerobic technology in the treatment of landfill leachate.
