Effect Comparison of UASB and UBF on Landfill Leachate Treatment under High Organic Loading

  • Under the condition of(38±2)℃,landfill leachate was treated by UASB and UBF anaerobic technology under high organic loading rate.Results showed that in the anaerobic process,the organic loading rate increased to 15 kg COD(m3·d)and HRT was 5 d.In UASB anaerobic reactor,raw material gas production rate was 25.4~29.6 m3t,the removal rate of COD could be more than 94%,volumetric biogas production rate was 5.77~6.02 m3m3,content of CH4 was more than 70%,and pH was 7.21~8.25.In UBF anaerobic reactor,raw material gas production rate was 22.7~25.4 m3t,removal rate of COD could be more than 90%,volumetric biogas production rate was 4.99~5.60 m3m3,content of CH4 was about 66%,and pH was 7.29~8.01.UASB anaerobic technology was better than UBF anaerobic technology in the treatment of landfill leachate.
