Improvement of Determination Method for Methanol Content in Liquor

To improve determination method of methanol content in liquor，using magenta sulphurous acid method for determination of methanol content in liquor，interference in the determination was analyzed systematically，and effect of amount of oxalic acid-sulfuric acid addition，color rendering temperature and color time on the test results was discussed.It was concluded that the amount of oxalic acid-sulfuric acid was 0.5 mL，color temperature 20~25 ℃ and chromogenic time 30 min，as the best determination conditions.The improved determination method could make methanol content determination of experimental results more accurate and better reproducibility.
