Agricultural Information Collection System Based on Mobile GIS

With the continuous progress and development of intelligent terminals，embedded technologies and wireless communication technologies，mobile GIS has broken through bottleneck of hardware and software.Mobile GIS has realized expansion and application in many fields.Due to characteristics of real-time updating，collaboration synchronization，and data sharing，mobile GIS has become mainstream technology for data acquisition applications.Based on this，taking mobile GIS composition and system structure as basic research points，based on deep analysis of functional requirements of agricultural information collection system，the PDA was used as underlying hardware platform，SQL Server2005 as the database support，and Visual C++ 4.0 was used for programming and development.The system architecture，functional modules and development environment were given.The system can effectively meet real-time positioning，acquisition and transmission requirements of agricultural information.
