Experimental Comparison Study of Capillary Drain Belt Infiltration Water Intake

  • Through percolation and water intake tests of annular capillary drainage infiltration pipe,vertical capillary drainage infiltration pipe and common PVC infiltration pipe,water harvesting ability and filtration efficiency of the three kinds of infiltration pipes under different filter layers were compared.Results showed that under condition of single homogeneous filter layer,the vertical capillary drainage infiltration pipe could took both water collection and filtration performance,of which water intake achieved the best.Capillary drainage infiltration pipe could be used for infiltration gallery water intake project near river was proposed firstly.Study results could provide theoretical and design references for application of capillary drain belt in infiltration gallery water intake projects.
