Development of Self-cleaning Soil Parameter Monitor for Greenhouse

  • Normal growth of crops was affected by soil environmental parameters of greenhouse.Therefore,it needs to be monitored for a long time.For existing fixed greenhouse soil parameter monitor,sensor ends are widely buried in soil for a long time,which leads to shorter service life of sensor.A soil parameter monitor based on Arduino was introduced.Instrument could be used to detect soil parameters regularly.It provided real-time and accurate reference data for ratio of soil nutrients required for plant growth and time irrigation.After data acquisition was completed,probe position of sensor was automatically cleaned and maintained. Electrochemical corrosion caused by long time contact with soil was slowed down,and service life of sensor was improved.This monitor lays a foundation for development of intelligent network system for intelligent greenhouse environment monitoring.
