Causes of Yield Reduction of Summer Maize Based on Meteorological Factors and Countermeasures

According to short yield of summer maize in Liaocheng city due to short ears，severe baldness and reduced grain weight，meteorological factors such as precipitation，sunshine hours，temperature and relative humidity during growth periods of summer maize were analyzed.Results showed that main reason of maize yield reduction was soil moisture saturation caused by heavy precipitation during summer maize sowing period that lead to seed rot，high temperature during flowering pollination period lead to poor pollination and encounter continuous rain and few sunshine hours lead to no pollination.Combined with climate and corn production situation of Liaocheng city，countermeasures to meteorological disasters were also put forward.
