Experiment on Reducing Rice Cadmium Content Using VIP Control Technology

  • In order to find out effects of agronomy measures to repair and reduce rice cadmium content in fields contaminated with cadmium,experiment of VIP control technology was carried out.Comparative analysis of rice yield,soil pH,soil and rice cadmium content were conducted.Results showed that VIP control technology increased rice yield by different degrees,soil pH increased by 18.18%~21.18%,soil cadmium content decreased by 0.033~0.041 mg/kg,cadmium content of rice decreased significantly,drop in 43.7%~64.1%.Cadmium control technology of“low-cadmium varieties+optimized water management+application of quicklime”was the best promotion model to reduce rice cadmium content in fields contaminated with cadmium.It was economical,practical,environmentally friendly and effective.
