Application of Satellite Remote Sensing Technology in Meteorological Service for Agriculture

The related work done in satellite remote sensing by scholars both in China and other countries were briefly reviewed.The main contents of this paper included satellite remote sensing data，image processing and revision，recognition of ground targets，crop yield prediction，development of satellite remote sensing，establishment of satellite remote sensing database，establishment of prediction model，precipitation monitoring，ground temperature monitoring and freezing，soil monitoring，disaster monitoring，gas monitoring，satellite cloud image application，and the integration of different types of satellite remote sensing technology.Application status of satellite remote sensing technology in meteorological services for agriculture were analyzed on the basis of introducing monitoring principle of satellite remote sensing technology.It was urgent to strengthen application of satellite remote sensing technology in meteorological services for agriculture.And the application of satellite remote sensing technology in agroclimatic regionalization，crop planting planning，monitoring and management of crop growth period，pest control，disaster prevention，crop yield forecast，fire prevention and benefit assessment of agrometeorological service were discussed.It was emphasized that application of satellite remote sensing technology should be strengthened，and satellite remote sensing data should be developed and utilized to greatest extent，so as to make satellite remote sensing technology play a greater role in agricultural production practice.
