Feasibility Study of Improving Saline Alkali Land by Irrigation with Brackish Water

  • In view of shortage of water resources and deterioration of saline alkali land,irrigation with brackish water has received a lot of attention in theory and has good results in practice,but there are few theoretical practices to improve saline-alkali land with brackish water,which lacks certain theoretical guidance.Development and utilization of brackish water irrigation at home and abroad were reviewed,practice of brackish water irrigation technology was summarized,impact of brackish water irrigation on crop,environment and soil water and salt movement were expounded,results of improving crop yield and saline alkali land by brackish water irrigation were discussed in detail,feasibility of improving saline alkali land by irrigation was analyzed,and following suggestions for research direction and practical operation of salt water irrigation to improve saline alkali land were put forward.
