Stress Analysis of Drop Simulation of 258 mL Small Beer Bottle Based on ANSYS

  • In order to study stress of 258mL small capacity beer bottle in the process of drop impact and provide reference for safe packaging of beer bottle,taking 258mL bottle of Qingdao beer as research object,3D finite element model of bottle cushioning packaging was established using ANSYS finite element analysis software.Drop simulation tests were carried out with or without cushioning package,different drop height and different drop posture.Instantaneous stress distribution of bottle during drop impact was got.Simulation results showed that maximum impact stress was 147,517 and 277 MPa when bottle body was vertical, inclined 15° and horizontal drop at 1.0 m height without cushioning packaging.In these cases,bottle body was broken because impact stress was too large and strength was not enough.Maximum impact stress was 5.0 and 3.4 MPa when bottle body fell from 1.0 m or 0.5 m height under protection buffer of 6 mm thick BC type 5-layer corrugated box.Packaging material had a good protective effect on beer bottle.Maximum stress position was located at bottle bottom edge circumference and arc convex part of bottle shoulder.Therefore,vulnerable parts should be protected during bottle handling and transportation.
