Abstract
In order to study influence of wood fiber on stability of red clay slope under different moisture content, direct shear test and slope stability simulation analysis method were used, cohesion and internal friction angle of wood fiber reinforced red clay samples with four reinforcement ratios of 0(plain soil),0.5%,2.5% and 5.0% under five different water content levels were measured, and the minimum safety factor of slope soil was analyzed. Results showed that:the higher the reinforcement rate, the smaller the friction angle in the soil body and the greater the cohesion.Wood fiber mainly enhanced soil stability by increasing cohesion. When moisture content of wood fiber red clay was less than 25%,wood fiber could enhance shear strength and increase minimum safety factor of the slope, and the higher the reinforcement ratio, the greater the shear strength and minimum safety factor, and the better the slope stability.
