Abstract: Coordinated development of "new urbanization and agricultural modernization" is of great significance for China to change urban-rural dual structure and improve quality of development． Meaning of new urbanization and agricultural modernization was summarized． Based on research results in the field of coupling and coordination, coupling mechanism of new urbanization and agricultural modernization was analyzed． Evaluation system and coupling degree model were structured． Countermeasures for coordinated development of new urbanization and agricultural modernization were put forward, which including improving quality of urbanization development, increasing financial input and introducing market mechanism．
