Abstract:
Jigu 43 was a new non-transgenic high quality herbicide resistant millet variety developed by Institute of Millet Crops, Hebei Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences through sexual hybridization, which was also resistant to dimethoprim, nicosulfuron and imidazolinone herbicides. Breeding process of Jigu 43 was summarized, and its drug resistance test and herbicide dosage test were carried out. Results showed that Jigu 43 showed high resistance to nicosulfuron. This study could provide a theoretical basis for breeding of millet for herbicide resistance and safe and efficient application of nicosulfuron in the control of weeds in grain fields.
