Abstract: China is a large country of rice planting． Rice transplanters play an important role in rice planting． The study on rice transplanter in China began earlier, and it has probably gone through four stages from manual to intelligent transplanter． In order to better understand intelligent development, classification, development process and intelligent development progress of rice transplanter were analyzed． At last, future development trend was summarized．
