Abstract: The Party and the country attach great importance to construction of agricultural and rural networking and digitalization, timely make a series of major strategic deployments such as implementing big data strategy and digital rural development strategy, and vigorously promote "Internet plus" modern agriculture, which meet needs of digital rural development strategy, promote transformation and upgrading of agriculture, and discipline of smart agriculture came into being．Looking at development trend of smart agriculture discipline, reflecting on construction path of smart agriculture discipline, focusing on difficult problems in construction of smart agriculture discipline, such as unclear school running orientation, unsmooth discipline organization system, lack of talents in diverse disciplines, unclear discipline service orientation, and imperfect agricultural information sharing platform, strategy and optimization path to solve difficult problems were proposed．
