Abstract: As core course of food inspection and testing technology, "Modern Instrumental Analysis Technology" course urgently needs to explore and refine ideological value and spiritual connotation contained in knowledge system． Focusing on strengthening students' ideals and optimizing supply of ideological and political content, two ideological and political education cases of "patriotism" and "professional ethics" have been formed． Through detailed elaboration of case implementation and effect feedback, organic integration practice of professional knowledge and ideological and political elements in teaching process was explored． It could also provide a reference for implementation of ideological and political education in other professional courses．
